I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted, but life has been getting in the way. I’m still making progress on the sequel. Comes The Retribution is now half-way (about 40,000 words). I’m still trying for a fall release date. What’s slowing me down is taking time off to go on book signings.
For me, that’s two of the most enjoyable aspects of the writing game (writing and talking to readers at book signings). So I can’t say that’s all bad.
Last week I had a slow event at the High Desert Chapter, California Writer’s Club, book fair at the Ft. Irwin, Main Exchange. We had 13 authors participating and 33 titles available. The problem was that because of the “sequestration” of the federal budget, there wasn’t near the traffic we needed to generate a lot of sales.
That being said, we’re considering another event at the Ft. Irwin Exchange, on Black Friday and the Saturday after. I’ll keep you posted about that event.
Now for the exciting news, one of my readers from last week’s book fair, put me in touch with a group called “UnleashIndependence.com”. Their goal is to interview people they feel have information the listeners to their internet radio show can use to become more independent and not have to rely on the government for how to do everything.
They’ve scheduled me for an interview on Friday, 26 April 2013 at 5:00 pm (PDT). Please listen in. There’s a strong possibility that it’ll be time for listeners to call in.
They asked me if I would be willing to have them interview me twice. Once on Friday, they’re mostly interested in self-publishing. Then in the future, they’d like to interview me about my first novel, “Comes The Southern Revolution” and the second novel, “Comes The Retribution.”
I’m looking forward to this new experience.
