The Eagles event was a little disappointing. Seems the publicity didn’t go out as planned. I had a miscommunication with them. I didn’t get the message that they decided not to have their fund-raising dinner as planned.
I showed up on time, and pretty much sat around for two hours. The only bright side of the evening was when Al, a former employee of mine, showed up. He saw the small notice about my book signing in the local paper, and showed up. We talked for several minutes.
He’d lost my phone number; he showed up to buy a copy of “Comes The Southern Revolution.” That made the evening worthwhile.
On another note, I just finished chapter nine and tomorrow start on ten.
I get a good feeling about next week’s event at Edwards Air Force Base. I’ll be their Monday through Friday, from 10 am until 5 pm.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, and have a Happy New Year.
Jim
