Last week I conducted a two-day book signing at the Ft. Irwin, Dust Bowl Shoppette. Met several readers and sold quite a few books.
Many were interested in the progress I’ve made on the sequel. I received feedback from a few of the soldiers who’ve purchased the book. Several have told me they’ve really enjoyed it and are looking forward to the conclusion of my tale. I don’t want to commit to a publishing date yet, but I’m hoping for some time in the summer of 2013 (at this time, I’m working on chapter 4 by the way).
The sequel will have some of the characters from “Comes The Southern Revolution” returning. If you have a particular character you’ve interested in reading about in “Comes The Retribution” (or as in one reader’s mind, would love to hate in “CTR”) please let me know and I’ll see if I can work them into the storyline.
I’m also considering publishing an anthology of short stories I’ve written. This volume, untitled as of yet, is a cross-section of my short stories and poems, a few are posted on my website. They range from: comedy, drama, dark-side, and poetry. If you have any ideas for a title, please either post a blog or e-mail me at: comesthesouthernrevolution@gmail.com.
I’ve also updated my book signing schedule through 21 December 2012, check my website to see if I’ll be near you. At this time I’m concentrating on bases in southern California. I do have tentative plans for a book signing at the Ft. Bragg, NC main exchange. The Chaplain who married Bonnie and I in 1993 has been on active duty, our wedding was his last official act in the California Army National Guard, ever since our wedding. He’s been told that he’ll be promoted to Colonel sometime between December, 2012 and February 2013. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get all the arrangements made, and make it to the ceremony.
Thanks,
Jim
